Anti-corrosive ebonite and rubber linings

When corrosion, abrasion and wear and tear are a problem, our AP brand linings offer an effective system of long-lasting protection for metallic materials. Our ebonite and rubber linings can be successfully applied to tanks, filters, reactors, silos, vats, cisterns, pipes, valves, impellers, mixers, sifters, vibration tanks, cylinders, rollers, drums, hydrocyclones for sandhoppers etc. The application fields for anti-corrosive and anti-abrasive linings are multiple, and involve all industrial sectors – from water treatment to the chemical, steel, textile, metallurgic and oil industries. Environmental protection for waste gas and waste water treatment plants. All our AP compounds made from ebonite and rubber are produced within our company and offer effective resistance to the corrosive action of fluids (acids, bases, saline solutions, etc) and/or mechanical wear and tear caused by the environment in which they operate. Our anti-corrosive and anti-abrasive linings made from ebonite and rubber have a minimum thickness of 3mm and can reach substantial thicknesses as required. The choice of covering correlates strongly with the operational demands of the industrial application for which it is intended. A close collaboration between the designer, the manufacturer of the metal parts and PESSINA A. SRL is therefore necessary. This collaboration is indispensable to determine which elastomer should be applied and at which thickness. The anti-corrosive and anti-abrasive linings are generally applied in our factory via autoclave vulcanisation. In special cases, for example with moveable appliances, we can apply the covering directly on-site, using self-curing compounds. We produce and apply compounds made from ebonite, natural rubber and synthetic rubber, including chloroprene, butyl, nitrile, polyisoprene, chloro-sulphonated polyethylene, ethylene propylene diene etc. In addition, we produce the bi-component adhesive AP 090, which can repair minor defects on existing linings. It is an easily-applied product and can therefore be used directly by the customer.
